Chevron Awards Dyadem Contract To Improve & Standardize Process Hazard Analysis Studies

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Canada, February 20, 2006 - Dyadem International Ltd announced today that Chevron Corporation has purchased Dyadem's PHA-Pro® software solution to handle growing Process Hazard Analysis requirements. Chevron's Energy Technology Company and International Exploration and Production business units will be making PHA-Pro a standard engineering tool - benefiting from its flexibility, its remarkable ease-of-use, and its ability to handle sophisticated equations, calculations, and other mathematical requirements - key elements of Chevron's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
Chevron operates in about 180 countries and is the fifth-largest integrated energy company in the world. Headquartered in San Ramon, California, Chevron is engaged in every aspect of the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production; refining, marketing and transportation; chemicals manufacturing and sales; and power generation.
The massive scale of the company's operations places a significant demand on performance improvement and cost savings. Chevron invited Dyadem to demonstrate how they could improve their PHA studies with the goal of improving user satisfaction, applying documentation controls and standards, improving safety audit compliance, and in generating cost reductions.

Standardized functionality and presentation that can be used globally were important criteria for Chevron to realize its desire for high performance, reliability, and uniformity. PHA-Pro delivers this by employing color-coding and risk matrices that are tailored to Chevron's users. Efficiencies are found through recommendation tracking and management; and study data can be analyzed in multiple ways to provide detailed statistics and recommendations. The software also has a comparison feature that allows sites to compare studies and track changes from one study to another. Chevron's users will also enjoy enhanced security features and expanded reporting export options into convenient XML, HTML, Excel, Word, and PDF files.
The need for global standardization of documents was easily addressed by PHA-Pro's flexible, open structure that allows customizable templates, industry-specific libraries, and intuitive user functionality. PHA-Pro enables Chevron to employ PHA studies faster, easier, and with a much lower chance of user error - thereby creating much-desired savings.
