Dyadem Launches Enterprise-ready Product Failure Analysis Software

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Canada, June 27, 2006 - Dyadem International Ltd. today announced the general availability of FTA-Pro, an enterprise-level software application for improved fault tree analysis, a top-down approach to analysing potential product failures before they happen, beginning with each potential failure and predicting every way they could occur.

Through a user-friendly Windows-based interface, FTA-Pro helps avoid costly mistakes by offering advanced analysis and reporting capabilities that help prevent safety and reliability shortfalls for a wide-range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, transportation, electronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, petrochemical, defence, IT and general manufacturing.

FTA-Pro enables improved maintenance programs, better design capabilities, and a deeper understanding of the causes of potential failures, giving businesses the best opportunity to prevent failures from occurring. It ensures compliance with a vast array of industry safety and reliability regulations.

Through the advanced features found in FTA-Pro, businesses are able to reduce design defects, product recalls and production downtime, as well as increase product reliability and confidence around results. The software reduces the development time of fault trees by approximately 30 to 80 per cent, when compared with existing FTA systems.

When tested against other computer-aided FTA software, FTA-Pro was found to take about 30 per cent less time to develop an analysis from scratch, 80 per cent less time on reporting, 80 per cent less time to develop FTA from existing FMEA databases, and half the time to train. FTA-Pro complements FMEA-Pro 7 and FMEA-Med 7, Dyadem's leading Failure Mode and Effect Analysis applications, and can be used with legacy data from other applications.
