Dyadem Named to Software Magazine’s 28th Annual Software 500

Software Magazine Ranks Dyadem as one of the World’s Largest Software Companies

Toronto – October 5, 2010 – Dyadem, the market leader in operational and quality risk management software solutions, today announced its inclusion on Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers, now in its 28th year.

Dyadem was ranked 332 on the Software 500, climbing 58 positions from the previous year.  Dyadem is the market leader in enterprise risk management solutions, providing software that allows companies to identify, measure, mitigate and monitor potential risks through a continuous improvement approach that allows companies to learn from their mistakes.  Whether a company’s products or processes pose a risk to the environment, the safety of personnel or consumers, Dyadem helps some of the world’s largest companies establish an enterprise risk management strategy and comply with various industry regulations and standards.  Dyadem serves the oil and gas, chemical, mining, pharmaceutical, medical, automotive, electronics and aerospace and defense industries.

“The 2010 Software 500 results show that revenue growth in the software and services industry was healthy, with total Software 500 revenue of $491.7 billion worldwide for 2009, representing virtually flat growth from the previous year,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com.  “The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research and create the short list of business partners.  It is a quick reference of vendor viability; basically an online catalog to enterprise software.”

The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.  Some 47% percent of the 2010 Software 500 companies are privately held.  The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2009.  This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.  The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co., as well as from public documents and posted at www.Softwaremag.com.

Dyadem is listed on the Software 500 list for the second consecutive year and has recently been honored with several other awards.  Dyadem was named in June as one of Canada's fastest growing companies by PROFIT magazine and as the 2010 Corporate IT Hero by the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC).  In addition, Kevin North, Dyadem’s President and CEO, is an upcoming finalist for Ernst & Young’s 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.  Dyadem was also recently honored by being recognized in three distinct categories in the International Business Awards for Most Innovative Company of the Year in North America, Marketing Department of the Year, and Executive of the Year in North America for Kevin North.

“Dyadem is proud to be included on the Software 500 list for the second year in a row, despite the harsh economic climate,” said Kevin North, President and CEO, Dyadem.  “To realize growth in a flat industry, and be listed among prestigious software vendors is an honor, proving that organizations are recognizing the importance of the comprehensive risk management solutions that Dyadem provides.”
